In June 2018 the Russia World Cup begins and the eyes of the world will be on the country to watch the biggest tournament on the planer.
Where to Buy Tickets
As you can see from the simple guide above we are now at the Last Minute sales phase and therefore tickets are very limited. Keep checking the official website for tickets to become available but most games will sell out even before a ball has been kicked.
The next phase runs right the way through the tournament from April 15th, this is the period when you can get last minute tickets for the game that you want to see. The games which are in biggest demand are of course all the Russian national team games and those which are in Moscow and Saint Petersburg. The final is the most expensive ticket and that of which will be highest demand throughout the tournament.
The other games in demand are the group stages as this is when most tourists are in the tournament and have planned to stay. Tickets for all group games will be sold out and you will be lucky to get them from official channels. I will add a list of secondary ticket sellers here which can be trusted and have confidence in them delivering the tickets.
Outside the Ground/ In Russia
Thousands of people travel to these big tournaments without tickets hoping just to get them in the place that they are and the good news is that is always possible, you just have to look in the right place.
Probably the easiest place to find tickets will be outside the official ticket collection office or outside the stadium. These are the places the scalpers/touts tend to operate and sell the tickets at market value.
There has been no reports of fake tickets being made yet but this is due to the fact that the tickets haven’t been released yet. The chances are low that fake tickets will be made but I will update this article if this changes. As with all major events just be mindful of the tickets that you are purchasing and try to compare it against one that you know to be genuine.
